Welcome to The Accountability Stop. I’m Craig Stevenson (a pen name in case I write about my day job), someone who thinks he’s creative. You may not agree that I have any talent, but I have completed a lot of projects and pushed them into the world. That particular skill set – completing creative work – is something I think is useful to share with others. My primary tools for that are accountability techniques.
Here’s a dangerous proposition for you: write a blog touting the benefits of accountability and put it on the internet — where everyone can see whether you have remained accountable to your own project.
My goal for The Accountability Stop is to write 100 posts about accountability. My target is to write one article every week for approximately two years. I think I can say most everything I want to about accountability in 100 posts. In fact, that might be a little generous. I might be grasping at straws or riffing off of newspaper stories or Chat GPT after I get through 60 posts.
My goal is NOT to write a blog about accountability in perpetuity. I like setting up a system, writing a rule book, or explaining how something works. I do not like open-ended demands on my time and creativity.
If you have found this blog and wonder why I have stopped writing, that is the reason. On the (slim) off-chance that accountability becomes a larger conversation, then I may consider writing beyond my 100 post limit.
Thanks for stopping by. Thanks for your interest in accountability. And thanks for reading!
